I've just switched over to 2.6.3-rc3-mm1 and everything is working fine, except that my ethernet controller no longer functions as it did before. In my previous kernel, 2.6.1, the driver for 8169 was compiled into the kernel and it functioned perfectly. Now, with this kernel that same driver seems to be broken. I looked at the source code in r8169.c and the introductory comments say that the driver is for kernel versions 2.4??
Anybody got any ideas? I'm completely stuck without a functioning ethernet controller.
Is there a different kernel version I can use that would work better? Are there any ebuilds for 2.6.3 stable yet? |
