Hey.....yes....the neverending story about this Problem. I've read several Topics about it but don't understand it.
2.6.0 works perfect - so I simply copied my 2.6.0.config to the 2.6.3 directory and used make oldconfig - with the result that 2.6.3 won't boot.
It's exactly the same config and the config changes from .6.0 to 6.3 were = 0.
I also tried to compile from a completly new config using alle the Tips from the other Threads.
I don't get the difference from 2.6.0 to .3. ....so what? ^^ |

Hey there,
Did you update your grub/lilo config file with the path to the new kernel?

did you use genkernel?
if so, try compiling your kernel without it.. _________________ subzero349 |

Hey there,
Can you post:
1. The error message
2. The output of ls -al /boot
3. the conf file for the bootloader that you use (lilo or grub)
