hi,

i can't run kismet. I have the 2.6.3 kernel, cisco lmc-350 wlan card, cisco drivers installed (acu ...)

Quote:
unix # kismet
Server options: none
Client options: none
Starting server...
Will drop privs to unix (1000)
No enable sources specified, all sources will be enabled.
Source 0 (cisco): Using pcap to capture packets from eth1
FATAL: Source 0 (cisco): pcap reported netlink type 1 (EN10MB) for eth1. This probably means you're not in RFMON mode or your drivers are reporting a bad value. Make sure you have run kismet_monitor.
Starting UI...
FATAL: Could not connect to localhost:2501.
Terminating...
Done. Run kismet_unmonitor or eject and re-insert your card (or restart your
pcmcia services) to return your card to normal operation.

the output of kismet_monitor:

Code:
unix # kismet_monitor
Using /etc/kismet/kismet.conf sources...
Enabling monitor mode for a cisco card on eth1
root@h4x0r unix #

but i have the same error.

can someone help me?

I've successfully used this card with kismet. I needed the cvs_cisco drivers. You can download an ebuild that has them at https://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=12152 You'll need to copy the attachment to /usr/portage/sys-apps/pcmcia-cs/ and run 'ebuild /usr/portage/sys-apps/pcmcia-cs/pcmcia-cs-3.2.5.ebuild digest' before you emerge the ebuild. Make sure kismet.conf has 'source=cisco,eth0,cisco'
