I have a problem and a question. First, it involves emerging X. When I type in emerge -pv xfree, opengl-update comes up showing "empty/missing/bad digest." What should I do to fix that. Also, when I get around to emerging X, is it a good idea to compile it with mmx, sse, and 3dnow flags? I checked my cpuinfo and it shows that my box can handle them.

What cpu do you have? Many of the CFLAGS overlap, so for example, -march=pentium4 implies mmx, sse, and 3dnow, AFAIK.

About that emerge -pv xfree, you can fix the digest by going to the opengl-update ebuild path and typing
Code:
ebuild opengl-update-x.y.z.ebuild digest

Yes, black magic doesn't use parentheses.

Two things, this question belongs in the Desktop Environments forum, and it's a duplicate thread.

Please keep threads in the appropriate place, and don't spam the boards.
