What "VIDEO_CARDS"

I have an S3 ProSavageDDR - other notations are VT8375 ProSavage8 KM266 KL266

When I tried VIDEO_CARDS="S3" emerge xfree-drm

startx blows up at the time one would see the "X" in the middle of the screen so I have to press the reset button - 3 fingers don't work.

I have emerged xfree successfully.

I have used "ProSavageDDR" and "ProSavage8" with the same results.

What should I do? Everything works fine. Have emerged everything.

I have defined the monitor conservatively and using the specs. for the monitor with NL.
