Today I am having a problem with my printer.

It is an Okipage 4w (from oki :D ) connected to my parallel port (/dev/lp0). If I try to install this printer, KDEPrint will detect it on my parallel port as an OKI OKIDATA CORP OKI MICROLINE 4W. For the driver i choose OKIDATA->Okipage 4w which seems appropriate. So far so good. BUT if I try to print something. f.e. use the "print testpage" then nothing will happen :(. The printer remains dead - won't even signal with his LED that he receives data. And the printer queue shows the job as aborted-by-system (in the IPP protokoll)

If I'm following old habbits and reboot window$, then the same printer connected to the same port on the same pc prints perfectly. But I won't rebbot to window$ if I have a printjob.

:?: Has anyone an idea what may be wrong :?:

Thanks in advance,
M.
