N00b gentoo user here.
In going through the initial install and following the instructions I set up to use xdm.
Well I don't want to use xdm anymore, I'd rather just watch the boot messages scroll by and login from a prompt.
What do I have to change to log in without using kdm, gdm, or xdm? |

Nope.. it made my login disappear. Bad news.
I had to wait for disk activity to stop then just logged in, luckily x started for me.
I just set up bootsplash, looking to log in from bootsplash screen and not with xdm, kdm, or gdm if possible.
Not sure if "entrance" will work. |
