Hullo,
I have these USB headphones from sony with volume control on the part that the headphones plug into that plugs into the USB port. I used to, on windows, use this whenever I didn't want to bother anybody else around so I'd essentially switch between that and my 5.1 sound when I wanted to do something with sound. So, my questions are:
Does Gentoo support these USB headphones (which comes with a microphone)
Can the volume control (which used to effect the system volume on windows) be set to do anything?
Can I switch between these USB headphones and my soundcard? _________________ Michael |

Sorry to waste everybody's time. I guess it was a stupid question in the first place.
For the reference, USB audio codec support can be compiled into the kernel (which I use dev-sources >2.6). Then I could select the USB device for output in XMMS and with -ao hw:1 for mplayer.
Sorry for posting something so easy. _________________ Michael |
