Hey all, I used to use Lilo but have come to like GRUB more (now that i know how to use it). I installed grub and set it up correctly but I still get my Lilo prompt no matter what i do . Is there an option or command to 'clear' lilo from the MBR so i can use grub or am i stuck with it? _________________ Zak: Luke's making a 3D interface for Linux"

I'm not at my box at the moment but it gave all the correct messages, it's just that when i rebooted it went into Lilo... It is possible grub and my BIOS got mixed up (two HDs, booting off slave) and i wrote grub to the wrong hard disk, i'll check when i go home later. _________________ Zak: Luke's making a 3D interface for Linux"

seems to me that grub isn't installed into the MBR - most likely you realy mixed up your disks.
... there should be no need to uninstall lilo from the MBR because grub will overwrite it, but if you realy want: lilo has an uninstall command, grub not |

How is your bootloader doing? I thought you had it under "control". |
