Can an iPod be made to play ogg vorbis?

I am looking for a new mp3 player, but ogg support is a crucial feature for me. The only mp3 players I've found that seem to support ogg are the iRivier, the Rio Karma, and the Neuros. None of them seem as nicely executed as the iPod; hence my question. Is there any way to get ogg support for an iPod?

Don't believe so, but there is a project to port linux to the ipod.
