Okay, here's what I've got:
I have an old p1 running win95 that I use as a fileserver. Not too pretty, but it does it's job. I have all the code I've written on it as one central, safe location to save it. Now, when I've got coding to do I mount the Code share and open my code in Emacs. The problem I have is that when I'm coding away Emacs opens a backupfile, but either doesn't or can't close it. It only acts this way on the samba share. Anyways, when it acts like this it will open that one file hundreds of times until the old w95 machine screams for mercy. Now, Emacs won't edit the file (babbles something about it being changed on disk), I can copy the files (Both the orig. and the backup), but I can't erase them (Permission denied). Any ideas? I'm running Love-2.6.3-rc2-love2, if that makes a difference. dmesg shows nothing of interest, though I don't know if it should .
Any ideas? |
