Ich habe gestern erfolgreich ALSA ans Laufen gebracht (Soundkarte Terratec XFire 1024, snd-cs46xx). Im "alsamixer" musste ich zur Aktivierung des opt. Digitalausgangs meiner Soundkarte den Regler "IEC958" (oder so ähnlich, sitze gerade nicht vor meinem System) aktivieren, fortan funktionierte die Soundausgabe mit XMMS. Was mich allerdings etwas verwundert ist, dass ich die Lautstärke des IEC-Reglers nicht ändern kann, weder im alsamixer noch in kmix. In kmix habe ich unter "Erweitert" einen Knopf, um IEC zu aktivieren, es erscheint aber kein Balken, um die Lautstärke zu regulieren.
Bedeutet das, wenn man den optischen Digitalausgang einer Soundkarte nutzt, kann man die Lautstärke nicht regulieren?

Wie ist das denn bei Euch? Könnt ihr die Lautstärke des Digitalausgangs regeln?

I'm running an emu10k1 chip and yes, I can adjust my volume. But it's not wave or master, it's some other channel I need to adjust (when I reboot into linux, I report what channel it realy is)
Just to mention: when you bypass AC3-audio there is no way to adjust your volume. |
