|

Hello,
I registered to the Gentoo discussion forums before I started my first ever gentoo linux install a few days ago. I though it would be of much help if I ran into trouble. Fortunately I did not have to post since everything worked right. I searched the forum when I had questions and/or configuration problem etc...And I always found the answer..everytime. I have to add that the gentoo documentations is well done and easy to work with. Well, that's about it. My first post...just to thank you guys who bother to help newbies like me.
What I installed...
Kernel 2.4.0
KDE 3.2.0
and curently emerging firefox 0.8
All this on my new Dell Inspiron 5150
that's it for now. _________________ "(...) on est responsable de ce qu'on est."

Welcome!
Thanks for the nice words, and glad to hear it all went well;)
You may want to check out kernel 2.6, as it is now stable and has some nice features for your laptop as well. As usual, the docs (kernel-guide) will enlighten your path.
