Hi folks,
i've just set up my gentoo box on my new AMD64 (with great support ) . The system works great and *very* fast, but there are some probs which prevent me from working with gentoo all day long.
We use the Smartpass VPN for our company and the client software won't run:
Quote: | root@clawhammer:/usr/smartpass/bin> # ./smartpass
./smartpass: error while loading shared libraries: libstdc++-libc6.1-1.so.2: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory |
Which packet should I emerge on my architecture that could solve this problem?
I've also problems with my Citrix ICA Client; it seems to depend on xterm which is currently masked (and so are the dependencies of xterm...). Has someone gained bad experience with xterm on AMD64?
At last, I hope somebody has a fix for my problem with xmms-1.2.8 ... it crashes with a segfault every time I try to play mp*-files....
This should be enough for the moment , and I hope someone can help me.
Greetings

I'm using xmms-1.2.8-r4, it plays mp3's fine.
In preferences, I selected the OSS driver, the alsa driver produced skips pops and clicks.
Do you have exotic CFLAGS set or the reccomended ones?

What else could prevent my SmartPass application from running properly? |

Heya,
thats it
why haven't I tried this on my own .... note to self: first test then post
So let me correct my posting: xmms crashed with the aRts-driver.
