Is there a way to have the setup use the non-graphical background for the terminal? |

Just use the nofb kernel on the LiveCD. When you get to the part where you're supposed to pick a kernel and pass it options (the first thing that you see when ou boot), type nofb plus all of the options you want. _________________ Rationality is the recognition of the fact that nothing can alter the truth and nothing can take precedence over that act of perceiving it. |

thanks you guys rock. I was trying the "gentoo nofb" and that wasn't solving the problem, but just typing "nofb" game me what I wanted.
