Hi,
I tried to install Gentoo 1.4 from livecd.
At the boot prompt, I was able to use the keyboard, but after booting not anymore.
I have an HP Pavillion t280 with HP wireless mouse and keyboard (HID).
I also tried booting from Knoppix livecd. Same problem.
I currently don't have access to PS/2 keyboard/mouse.
Any suggestions?
best regards,

You should also try those 2.6kernel livecds. They have in most cases better driver/hardware support. Maybe this will solve your Problem
another thing to check is, if "usb keyboard support" is enabled in your bios. I don't realy know if this only enables bios usb keyboard support during bootup, but maybe it'll help |

Is there a BIOS option like "USB keyboard legacy support" and did you try enabling that?
A friend of mine had a lot of trouble installing Linux (any distro) with his USB-keyboard. A 2.6-kernel could helpt tho. _________________ Orbis non sufficit |
