Hi,

I got kind of used to being able to do things like play music while running a windowed game, but in Linux it doesn't seem like that's possible, because once I have one program using /dev/dsp nothing else will get sound. Is there any way at all past this? How come in it is possible to use DirectSound in Windows to do this, but there is no equivalent in Linux? Or am I missing something?

Thanks,

- I
