Hey Guys,
I accidently dropped my laptop the other day. It landed on my wireless card and really messed up my pcmcia slots, bending pins from both and even breaking some of the plastic off the side of my laptop. Good news is the laptop works, but I am now in the process of trying to figure out how to repair the damage. Am I going to have to straighten/solder on my pins or can I just buy a whole replacement socket?
Thanks for the help! |

As a person who has done a lot of work on Dell laptops (you didn't say what you had) the slots are mounted to the motherboard and can be easily removed, but most companies will only sell you the whole motherboard. Best bet, try ebay for old/broken boards. Most slots are interchangable across many laptops. _________________ Inspiron 4100 & Sun UltraAXe
