I've emerged ntp and added it to the default run level. The daemon starts at boot up. How do I now make sure that ntpdate runs before the ntpd starts up? I read somewhere after googling that you can change the order in which daemons or scripts are executed.
Basically I'd like ntpdate to take care of any large steps in time at boot up, as the ntpd only adjusts small changes in time. |

ntpdate is run as part of /etc/init.d/ntpd start, so you should be covered. _________________ I don't believe in witty sigs. |
