After the update fom KDE 3.1.4 to 3.2 the whole KDE 3.1.4 is still on my Computer.
I tried
an portage told me it would unmerge kde 3.1.4, but it didn't.
I was still able to boot in KDE 3.1.4.
Now I've deleted some directories with kontent of 3.1.4, but i guess there's still much left.
But how could i delete it all. (I'm running very low on free disk space ) |

Deleting the 3.1.4 directories is not the best option, it could leave you wih other problems.
Type 'emerge -Cp kde' at the command line, this will list the versions of kde that you have installed (without uninstalling). You can then add the relevant version, i.e. 'emerge -Cp kde-3.1.4'. Replace '-Cp' with '-C' to perform the actual uninstall.
If you are running low on disk space, check the '/usr/portage/distfiles' directory. You may have many unwanted packages that have been downloaded and built. Also check '/var/tmp/portage', this is where portage compiles the programs you download. If you are not emerging anything you can safely delete the contents of this directory 'rm -R /var/tmp/portage/*'.
Hope this helps... |
