|

Hello,
I run Gentoo Linux. I need to run Visual Basic 6. I know, I know - don't say it. I wouldn't be doing this unless it was an absolute necessity.
Anyways, I'll be needing a Windows installation to run VB6. I currently run a pure-Linux machine, and I'll be needing to install a Windows partition to run VB.
I don't think it will be too hard resizing my reiserfs partition to make space for a Windows partition...
Anyone have any experience in installing a Windows installation on a Linux box? I would like some advice.
Thanks. |

I would recommend a VmWare install. I have successfully installed Windows XP, then Linux, but I would be leery of how the Windows installer will tolerate finding a linux partition. If you do decide to do a real install of Windows, try your damnedessed to get it on hda1 (or sda1). It will save you a lot of bootloading headaches. I've pulled this off with Win98 and Linux. |
