ok, I created the grub disk with tulip enabled.... so what else do I need to do the network install. Keep in mind that I do NOT have the assistance of any other computer than my own, and the router (and cable modem).

What to do from here?

Why do a network install? If you have a router and broadband internet connection, why not just do a Stage 1 or Stage 3 install?

I don't know.... keep in mind as well that this is my FIRST time installing gentoo. Please explain what you mean by stage 1 or 3 install, to do these installs do I need to burn them to disc.......

If so then, sadly, I don't have access to a CD burner.

So, what are my options?

You should start by reading the documentation. Specifically, the Installation Instructions and the Alternative Installation Method HOWTO

Those will explain many of the installation options available to you, as well as what stage 1 and stage 3 are.

Regarding needing a CD burner, you certainly can use one to burn the downloadable-ISOs, but you don't have to. You can always buy a CD for $5 from Cheapbytes which is a heck of a deal. (and I believe some money from each sale goes to the Gentoo project.)
