Do i need to emerge alsa-tools? i have emerged alsa-utils and tryed to emerge alsa-tools with love-sources but i get the following errors:

I don't have the answer. but you would be better posting in the 2.6.3-love4 thread instead of everyone creating multiple love-threads - especially with the number of love-sources out there.

To answer your question: no, you do not need normally need alsa-tools. Alsa-tools are mostly just firmware loading utilities for specific soundcards. If you haven't needed to change your firmware in the past, then you do not need alsa-tools (nor alsa-firmware).
Are you using the latest ~86 version of alsa-lib and alsa-utils? You should be. _________________ Teilo who is called Teilo |
