|

Hi all,
My current situation: have (old, 1.1?) gentoo installed on my olworld mac (G3 upgraded powerbase 180). Haven't used it for years, didn't fix everything to get working back then. Had a good time though.
Yesterday I got my adsl upgraded to full blown unlimited speeds , which means running X apps from university is doable. And I need to right now.
So: I want gentoo again. Should I update my old install, or go for a fresh 1.4 install? Suppose live-cd: which version? ppc or G3?
TIA,

Read http://www.gentoo.org/doc/en/new-upgrade-to-gentoo-1.4.xml explains how to upgrade your Gentoo Linux 1.x systems to Gentoo Linux 1.4. |

Thanks for your replies.
Given the limited amount of memory and processing power on my machine, combined with the hurry to get things working, I decided not to upgrade but to do a fresh 1.4 install with stage3 and GRP.
More on that in another topic, I'll start very soon. _________________ Lukas |
