Does any body know if gentoo works on new P4 2.8 GHz with 533 MHz or did any body installed gentoo Sager notebook NP8882

Running it on a Sager NP5620 without problems. The new ones should work just as well. Sager's site lists all the hardware that goes into their machines, so you can check that.

i had np2280 then i had to sell it.

Thanks Everybody for the help. I got NP8882 and works perfectly fine with gentoo. Installation was very smooth. :D

well, help is what support forums is for, i constantly find myself spending more time with people here than the customers i'm supposed to help :D
