Can anyone verify that postgresql can be emerged and run on a 64-bit AMD Opteron Gentoo system, particularly dual processor? I'm thinking of getting such a system but I must have postgresql working. Thanks.
As advised, moving to AMD 64 forum. Thanks for the advise.

worst case senario it will run in 32bit mode faster than a xeon till it can be made to work 64 bit (though i think i remeber seeing some 64bit postgress benchmarks) so unless you fancy getting an itanic sparc etc the amd64 is the best option, its 100% compatible with 32bit x86 binaries _________________ Giay tay nam | Giay nam cao cap | Giay luoi |
