Hi all,

hab übers Wochenende auf nem weiteren Server Gentoo installiert.
Die Maschine hat nen Adaptec 29160 mit ner 73 GB Seagate LVD-Platte.
Die Platte ist nagelneu, der Adaptec eigentlich auch.
System installiert. Kernel gebaut. Keine Module, sondern alles fest drin (einschließlich aic7xxx).
Initrd habe ich keine gebaut (wozu auch?!).
Wenn ich jetzt boote, kommen folgende Meldungen:

Zig Mal:

Code:

SEQADDR ==0x1
scsi0 unexpected busfree while idle

dann:

Code:

VFS: cannot open root device "sda3" or 08:03

Und zum Schluss (ist soweit wegen der vorhergehenden Meldungen logisch:

Code:

Please append a correct "root=" boot option
Kernel panic: VFS: Unable to mount root fs on 08:03

Hat jemand ne Idee, woran es liegen könnte?
