Can anyone shed some light on to why when i compiled packet mapped IO (under Networking) into my kernels config I get some very very very fast downloads/uploads compared to my windows machine 214KB/S and 80KB/S for windows (everything is set right in my windows box). I've looked around and can't seem to find any info on what Networking packet mapped IO is.
