I recently relocated my computer desk. I have two monitors connected to the computer: On the VGA connector I have regular CRT, which does not support DDC. I have turned the DDC off due to font size problems in X. The second "monitor" is a data projector, which supports DDC. It is connected to the DVI-connector through DVI-VGA dongle.

After I relocated my stuff, I no longer need long extension cable with the projector. After first start up of the computer I did not see a picture in my regular monitor. The picture has moved to the projector only!

Prior to the relocation the X always opened the CRT.

I'm sure that there is a way to force the graphics adapter to use a specific output port. That setting is most likely in XF86Config-4 file. I just couldn't figure out what setting that one would be... Anybody know?

Well... have done some research, but still no solution.

I tried to make a new XF86Config-4 file with the fglrxconfig. If I enable dual display, somewhere in the config screens it says that if there is a monitor connected to the DVI port, it will always be the primary monitor. I guess there is no workaround for that?
