i would like to play them as a whole, meaning: as if it was a dvd. I am able to play the .VOB files individually, but i would like to use the menu and such, but i am unable to find out how it works.
I have tried a lot of things, first i created /dev/dvd (since that's where xine and mplayer read dvd's from). I used mkisofs to create an iso of that dir, and then mounted it to find out that just got me back the files i had before, so that wasn't the way to go. I tried symlinking the directory to /dev/dvd, but no luck either.
Then later on, i was told i needed a VIDEO_TS dir, so i made it, moved the files inthere, but same result.
I think i'd better paste some output but am unsure on what to give, since there are 100 ways to try this. I tried changing the path of /dev/dvd to the dvd-image dir but that didn't work either, xine started acting weird.
There must be a quick and clean solution but i am a total linux noob, and also i know sh*t about dvd's and everything that goes with it
tnx for reading up to this point
(btw: i have UDF support as a module and it's loaded) _________________ marnik.org |

Ogle can play dvd's from the harddrive.
File -> Open
and select the VIDEO_TS dir.
Menus and all work fine. |
