It's probably just a configuration thing but I have been having problems getting apps to switch from 22khz and 44khz sound (mostly gnome apps like XMMS, Goosnes, Navy Seals). The normal stuff that is 44khz sounds perfecly normal, but if I play a 22khz low quality mp3, it sounds like chipmunks. Navy Seals also says (with the newest patch) that my com_soundmegs is set at 8, but I looked at the quake config and it says 24 in there. If anyone can help me I'll build a shrine of you, cause i been messing with it for 2 weeks with no luck. |

i'm having the same problem. i've been finding that some of my quicktime videos are encoded with 32khz audio, flash audio is coming out fast, as well as those 22khz mp3s that you mentioned. this started happening around the same time that i upgraded to kde 3.2.1.
any solution yet? |
