|
|
Hiya All. After following the advice given in these forums i've set up my session varibles in my KDE session to the following:
Code: | #!/bin/sh
exec /usr/X11R6/bin/kinput2 -canna &
export LANGUAGE=en_GB
export LC_CTYPE=ja_JP
export XMODIFIERS="@im=kinput2"
/usr/kde/3.2/bin/startkde
|
However, this has had the effect of messing up netbeans as it cant display japanese characters in its chosen font. Having error messages in Japanese and javac messages garbled isnt what i was after. I just wanted to enable a different input. Anyone got any ideas please? |

A suppose this is a quick bump but i guess, its the LC_TYPE setting. Now under KDE i hear that kinput 2 is the only way whereas gnome has better support for this....
any advice.... pretty please |
