Hi there!

gnome-cpufreq-applet version 0.1.1 is out and there's already an ebuild available at bugzilla.

It installed fine but I still get this error/message on adding the applet to the panel:
Quote:
There is no cpufreq support in your system, needed to use CPU Frequency Scaling Monitor.
If your system already supports cpufreq, check whether /sys or /proc file systems are mounted.
Now the applet will only show the current cpu frequency.

The cpu frequency is shown properly but when I want it to show the cpu usage, it keeps showing 100%.

Anyone else getting this?

Could it be that you have to add the cpufreq support in the kernel?

This is correct, but it should no longer be necessary if I'm not mistaken:

Quote:
Overview of Changes in GNOME CPUFreq Applet 0.1.1
=================================================

* Added support for userspace governor (Ondrej Sury, Paolo Gai)
* Made it possible to get the current cpu frequency from /proc/cpuinfo (Christopher Parker)
* Show the current cpu frequency when there is no cpufreq support (Carlos Garcia)
* keep the pixmaps in memory instead of disk (Carlos Garcia)
* Added Basque translation (Mikel Olasagasti)
* Some code cleanups and bugfixes. (Carlos Garcia)

Wait... /proc/cpuinfo is only used to get the current cpu frequency, not the cpu usage as it seems. Though the other cpu usage applet works all fine and dandy...
