Has any one been able to get Age of Wonders 2, or Age of Wonders: Shadow Magic to get past the menu screen?
This is one game I love from windows that I've been unable to play since I made the full shift to linux. I'd really love to be able to get it going. |

seems to me that aow isn't supported by wine(x) currently. couldn't find it mentioned anywhere, that is.
anyhow, if you have such specific question it's generally a good idea to mention what system specs you're running on, esp. the version of your wine(x) package, and propably your graphics card+driver ver.

Don't mean to irritate anyone by ressurecting this week-old thread, but I two am curious as to whether anyone has gotten any of these games to function in wine(x). And to fulfill the system specs requirement, I ahve a 2ghz Intel Celeron, 256 mb DDR ram, and a Radeon 9000 Pro. I don't have drivers installed yet, for my Gentoo drive is still under construction. |

I couldn't get it to work under wine or wineX but was able to get it working with VMware due to the games low graphics requirements. Of course VMware isn't cheap, I'm just lucky that I need it for work |
