Hi,
I'm trying to get my gentoo box (2.4.22-gentoo-r5 kernel) to work with a new wireless PCI card I purchased. I'm running into two problems: 1) The card is a cheap-o generic, and has no obvious brand, and 2) I have no idea what's involved with the setup.
I'm an admitted n00b, so keep that in mind. Can anyone help? Is there a printed guide out there somewhere?
Here's some info that might be relevant:
This is what /proc/pci has to say about my card
Code: |
Bus 0, device 9, function 0:
Network controller: PCI device 1317:8201 (Linksys) (rev 17).
IRQ 10.
Master Capable. Latency=32. Min Gnt=64.Max Lat=128.
I/O at 0xe800 [0xe8ff].
Non-prefetchable 32 bit memory at 0xeb000000 [0xeb0003ff].

So, it's obviously a Linksys chipset... but that doesn't tell me much otherwise.
Thanks in advance,
-B |

emerge pciutils and have a look at the output of 'lspci', which should tell you the chipset. then just google for it _________________ 95% of all computer errors occur between chair and keyboard (TM)
