Hi,
I'm trying to get alsa working, and i've just recompiled the kernel with sound support as a module. I copied the old bzImage to bzImage.orig and the new image to the /boot partition and rebooted, and I got this:
loading gentoo..........................
uncompressing linux...
invalid compressed format (err=1)
--System halted.
so I copied the old image back, but I get the same thing. Does anyone know the problem? I can't think what else i've changed. btw i'm using lilo to boot with atm. |
