Trouble insalling Quake3

I have (as suggested here) emerged X to stop the error I was recieving.

Now, I get this when trying to uncompress the files:

Verifying archive integrity...OK
Uncompressing Quake III Arena Point Release 1.32 .................................................................................................................................................
No UI drivers available
./setup.sh: line 213: 2425 Segmentation fault "$setup" "$@" 2>/dev/null
The setup program seems to have failed on x86/glibc-2.1


I have glibc 2.3.3_pre20040207 installed

Any suggestions?

Teat with the new version, 1.32b. It's a bug fix or something.
