Hi, Hello
Well I have been looking every where, and I haven't been able to find a solution. If you run a vnc server it always requires you to have a free display running, otherwise it opens a new one. For instance if you have XFree running on :0, vnc will open up :1 and run there.
SSH'ing into my machine for console apps, running through screen is good. But only for console apps though. What about your GUI apps. What would you do to be able to control your GUI apps running on display :0 if vnc's running on :1. Or is there any other way to do this, other than VNC.
Thank you

If you're running KDE3.1 or above then krfb is your friend. I believe there's an ebuild for older versions though.
Otherwise you may be interested in xf4vnc, more information is available at http://xf4vnc.sourceforge.net/ _________________ Never test a mains lead with your tongue. |

Actually i was going to resort to KDE's desktop sharing too, if nothing else had shown up. Thanks, that's exactly what I was looking for. You da man.
*wanders off downloading xf4vnc*
