Ahm, yet another maybe stupid question for you..
Is it possible to install gentoo on a computer without an internet connection. I mean I have a computer here, connected to the internet using an adsl connection, but I need pppoe to make it work...
So, can I use gentoo on that one or better pick another distro? I'd really like to take gentoo, I love it, but I just can't build another gateway, just to install it... |

Have you checked out this thread on the mailing list? If you dig deep enough, it lists instructions on how to get PPPoE to work for a Gentoo install.
Note that I don't have PPPoE, so I have no idea how well these instructions actually work, but it's worth a shot.
If you do manage to get it working, please post your results here for the rest of us.
