Ok, here's the skinny, when I first put in the Gentoo Live CD, my network works just fine, it dhcp's and the world is happy.
When I compile my kernel and reboot, it still detects eth0, but my dhcp doesn't work. I type in dhcpcd eth0 and it just sits there forever, and when it finishes, nothing happens. I do an ifconfig and it just shows the loopback, and if I do ifconfig eth0 it shows me eth0 and that 5 errors occured.
Anyone have any ideas? |

I'm running the Gentoo-Dev-Sources 2.6.3 kernel
I've turned off the acpi and apic kernel options
and I'm using a Realtek network card that uses module 8390 |

try
Code: |
/etc/init.d/net.eth0 restart
