Hello,
I have pure-ftpd running as my FTP server. Everything is working perfectly, users can log in, work with files, etc, no problems. The FTP server is running on the same box that I am running Samba3 which is fuctioning as the PDC and serving shares for the network.
I would like to be able to access the FTP directory on the network via a samba share. This is basically so users on Windows boxes can just dump files to that directory and they're immediately being served.
I believe this could be solved by setting the permissions or ownership, but I'm not sure since pure-ftpd auto-creates the directory you specify in the config file and sets it's own permissions.
I know this can be done, it seems very simple, but because of my primative knowledge of linux, I'm not exactly sure how to do this.
Any and all help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
