and thats' where the log ends. I've zero'd the log and tried 3 times and I get basically the same log entrys back ending with this mouse thing. Now like a silly, I compiled "mouse and ps/2" into my kernel. Does anyone think that this may be the problem? Or could it be that I'm getting a

You need to compile dev_fs into the kernel (I did) error?
OR could it be all these font errors that I'm getting during boot?

Also, while we're at it. Could someone remind me how to scroll back through the command buffer? It's something like shift-pgup or something.. It's been to long!

Thanks,
John

PS. I could give you a listing but I'm on a windows machine and would have to type it all in - well, what I can see.. Thanks... 8O

So you think it may be that my XFree86.conf file is corrupt? It doesn't look to have changed? Also, I thought maybe there is some pointers (links) that may have gotten messed up somehow with the recompile. Is there a command to make all the links come back or is there a way of preserving links?

Thanks for the tip about shift-pgup. I knew it was something like that but for some dumb reason I couldn't figure it out until I started typing that last post...

Weird how memories work...

Thanks again,
John
