Does anyone know how to give permissions and where the documentation is on how to setup permissions to /mnt ???
For instance I'm trying to give users permission to access and write to /mnt/Storage, /mnt/temp, /mnt/cdrom, /mnt/cdrom1 and /mnt/floppy _________________ 2.6Gig AMD Athlon XP - Chaintech 7njs - 512Mg kingston HyperX - 80Gig with Windows 40 Gig with Gentoo - GeForce4 - Toshiba DVD ROM & Plextor CDRW - Turbo Cool 350 - 7 Case fans running Gentoo Linux 2.6.4-rc1-mm1 |

If you mean give them permission to actually perform a mount on these devices, then you need to add the user keyword to the devices entry in fstab, like:
Code: | /dev/cdroms/cdrom0 /mnt/cdrom iso9660 noauto,ro,user 0 0 |
otherwise, I think it should be the same as giving permissions to any other directory. _________________ aaarggghhhh.
