no fan reading in lm_sensors with nforce2

I emerged lm-sensors-2.8.5. All is working except that all three fan readings are 0 rpm. I have one fan installed, which can be read in Windows by MBM. Any suggestions how to correct this? I use kernel 2.6.3-gentoo-r1.
