Hi everyone!
I've already checked out the other posts concerning the 2.6.x and notebook battery issues, but they do not really apply go me.
While I have also got the problem, that my LiIon-Battery is reported as non-rechargeable, I have also got the problem, that it isn't charged either. Since I first notices this in Linux, I tried to boot to Windows or the BIOS in order to charge the battery there, but still it doesn't work: the battery does not get loaded. It is definitely empty, because if I plug the AC-adapter, the notebook is immediately offline. But it isn't loaded by the notebook. The phenomena started after I first bootet to a 2.6-kernel, never had the problems under 2.4 or Windows
First I thought, that my battery is defect, but yesterday a friend of mine told me, that he experiences the same issue with his battery. Still, no way to load it under any circumstances.
So, is it possible to revive the battery or has it been destroyed somehow?
Any suggestions what I could try?
Yours sincerely,
