|
|
I can no longer use gnomemeeting, it says
Code: | gnomemeeting: error while loading shared libraries: libh323_linux_x86_n.so.1.12.2: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory |
I realised pwlib and openh323 were recently updated to a new version:
Code: | emerge -p pwlib openh323 gnomemeeting
These are the packages that I would merge, in order:
Calculating dependencies ...done!
[ebuild R ] dev-libs/pwlib-1.6.3-r1
[ebuild R ] net-libs/openh323-1.13.2-r1
[ebuild R ] net-im/gnomemeeting-0.98.5-r1

So, in an attempt to re-emerge gnomemeeting with new libraries, I got tons of errors related to openh323, some of it are below, but it goes on for atleast 500 lines !
Code: | /usr/include/openh323/codecs.h:1023: error: because the following virtual
functions are abstract:
/usr/include/openh323/codecs.h:791: error: virtual int
H323_RealTimeChannel::H323FramedAudioCodec::DecodeSilenceFrame(void*,
unsigned int)::H323StreamedAudioCodec::Encode(short int) const
/usr/include/openh323/codecs.h:795: error: virtual short int
H323_RealTimeChannel::H323FramedAudioCodec::DecodeSilenceFrame(void*,
unsigned int)::H323StreamedAudioCodec::Decode(int) const
/usr/include/openh323/codecs.h:1023: error: parse error in method specification
before `public'
/usr/include/openh323/codecs.h:1043: error: parse error before `}' token
/usr/include/openh323/codecs.h:1052: error: ISO C++ forbids declaration of `

/usr/include/openh323/codecs.h:1052: error: cannot declare parameter `
<anonymous>' to be of type `

/usr/include/openh323/codecs.h:1052: error: parse error in method specification

/usr/include/openh323/codecs.h:1072: error: parse error before `}' token

openh323 and pwlib where having issues with cflags. I compiled them with -O1 only and it worked. Then they fixed them in the portage tree with a r1 of each. This however did not fix a compile time error on gnomemeeting 0.98-r1 involving callback.o. If you encounter this problem try masking gnomemeeting 0.98-r1 and lower and install 1.0 from source manually. Hopefully 1.0 will be in the tree soon and will not have the same problem. |

hi unseen-enigma,
look at:
https://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=43490
the new version of pwlib and openh323 does not run with gnomemeeting 0.98.5.
use prior versions of pwlib-1.6.3 and openh323-1.13.2 or you waiting for gnomemeeting 1.0 ebuild, coming soon.
regards

Would it not be sensible to have them masked then until gnomemeeting 1.0 comes out ??!!
I can think of no other application using pwlib, and openh323 other than gnomemeeting so from my prespective might as well not have the new pwlib and openh323 until gnomemeeting 1.0 comes out ! |
