Hi! all,
I see the login banner is " This is abc.(none) (Linux i686 2.4.25 ....) " . My hostname is set to "abc" but what means the ".(none)"? how to configure it? Thanks.

edit /etc/hosts to read

I think you need a machine supplying dns services... I have a (currently disconnected from the network) laptop that belongs to domain xyz.org, but it comes up as hostname.none, too. The domainname script init's fine though. _________________ 覇気元
