Well i looked around and all I could find was "eroaster won't work without scsi emulation" ..
But I didn't want to do that, and i DID want to use eroaster (it rocks! esp. for burning audio cds!) .. so I just did:
Code: | ln -s /dev/hdc /dev/sg1
|
where /dev/hdc is my cd burner, obviously..
then in the settings of eroaster 'detect cd burner' worked perfectly, and it burns CD's perfectly too! _________________ --

awesome tip! I did a search on this exact topic a few days ago and couldn't find any solutions. Found it by following some links in other posts. My only addition is that I had to add the following lines to my /etc/portage/package.keywords:
Code: | app-cdr/cdrtools ~x86
app-cdr/cdrdao ~x86 |
