I
I'm using metacity for a whille now, and there as always been one thing that anoyed me.
You can make the test. fire up glade or gimp, or a app that as lots of "child" apps, then bring up a terminal window, and now try to raise all the gimp or glade windows. Only one window will be raised.
Is there any way to change this?
Or another WM that does this? _________________ The road to Perfection is too rocky ! Consider Linux as home delivery service. |

In the GIMP 2.0-pre series (and probably the 1.3.x development series), there are "Window Management" options in the Preferences dialog. If you change the window types on the toolbox and docks to "Utility," that would probably fix your issue.
On my system, I find it easier to set the docks to "Utility" and leave the toolbox as a "Normal" window... that way when the toolbox has focus, I have all the other docks on top. I'd imagine that it functions differently with different window managers, though. (I use Metacity.) _________________ theonlyjuan.net |

Thanks for your reply.
But I'm afraid I use glade more than I use Gimp
Although thanks for the tip. _________________ The road to Perfection is too rocky ! Consider Linux as home delivery service. |
