a causa di un maleaugurato salto di correttne il mio pc si è spento bruscamente.. alla riaccensione ricevo un messaggio del tipo che non trova + il superblock..
provo a fare un reiserfsck ma nn va cosa posso fare? non posso nemmeno pastare l'errore perchè sonod a un altro pc

se non trovo una soluzione mi sa che sarò costretto a lasciare la comunità per molto tempo non ho tempo per reinstallare gentoo.

hai visto queste opz di reiserfsck?
--fix-fixable fix corruptions which can be fixed without --rebuild-tree
--rebuild-sb super block checking and rebuilding if needed
(may require --rebuild-tree afterwards)
--rebuild-tree force fsck to rebuild filesystem from scratch
(takes a long time)

Ora che fai? reinstalli, ti presto dei cicli macchina per installare

N.B.: Installa xfs, io fin ora non ho avuto problemi e sono contento per questo, poi... i backup!!! fare sempre i becap del disco!

non hai un'altra partizione? ci fai un cp -a poi tocchi un po' il grub.conf e riavvii... almeno hai un disco che parte.
una volta riavviato... pialli la partizione bastarda e ci metti qualche altro fs.

eh dovrei eliminare il 2° hd copiare il contenuto del primo nel secondo riavviare modificando il lilo (mah) casino per adesso provo ancora un paio di sistemazioni

koma non demordere!
se e' solo un problema di fs (come pare essere) e non hardware trova un altro HD su cui riversare i dati... poi rifai il fs e reinstalli... non sara' mica la fine del mondo! 
non demordere!!!
ps: tra l'altro, se non hai tanto spazio puoi fare un lavoro certosino e copiare solo /home /etc et cetera... poi rifai tutto... |

io per questo problema (black out) con reiserfs ho dovuto reinstallare
e le altre volte sono sempre stato tentato dal reiserfs
ma ho sempre preferito l'ext3 pensando al tempo che poi avrei perso a reinstallare tutto
la prossima (quando ci sarà) proverò o jfs o xfs |

Io mi sono fumato la partizione root due settimane fa, e non avevo backup aggiornati. Non è stato un grosso problema.
La sera stessa ho lanciato il bootstrap, la mattina dopo prima di andare a scuola ho lasciato macinare emerge system. A mezzogiorno ho finalizzato l'installazione, bootato e lanciato emerge unamareadiroba prima di tornare a scuola. La sera era arrivato a circa metà della lista ma prima di dormire il sonno del giusto ne ho approfittato per configurare un paio di cose, il mattino dopo ho lanciato emerge openoffice.
Al mio ritorno avevo praticamente tutte le mie applicazioni installate, buona parte dei file di configurazione a posto e non mi restava che andare di lima nei dettagli.
